Awakening, Perceiving, Understanding

Observations

  • Instinct, intuition, the inner voice - these are invaluable guides. But first take care to distinguish them from fear, aversion and desire.

  • Two of the greatest pitfalls are complacency and bitterness.

  • The best antidote to the absurdity of this world is a good sense of humour. And sometimes the best and only response is to burst out laughing!

  • It is amazing how a dark, negative state of mind can shift and dissolve within minutes.

  • There is an exquisite space between sleep and waking where insights unfold and healing flows.

  • ~ How do you make God laugh?
    ~ Explain your future plans.

  • I didn't know who I was and spent much toil and effort trying to find myself.
At last I thought I'd found myself and said "this is me".
Some time later, to my great dismay, this 'me' seemed to dissolve, leaving me bewildered, not knowing who I was once more.
Again after much time and effort I felt I had found myself, but a small voice nagged "Are you sure?"
    'I' dissolved once more.
I began to understand that in fact this 'me' I was searching for might be an illusion.
I learned to relax and trust the inner process to unfold.
And began to discover an inner calm, a clear sense of being.
